We broke up in January, and we haven't really talked since. Or seen each other for that matter. But I saw him last sunday, and he saw me. He stared a lot. We were in love, but I broke up with him because when I got surgery he decided to throw a fit because I felt horrible and couldn't do anything.
But I feel empty without him. And I want him to be with me again. Any advice on what to say to him? Or what to do?

January, 4 months ago. That sounds like a pretty good amount of time, so you should be able to think with a clear head pretty easily. If he kept staring, then there's definitely a possiblity that he would be interested in that idea. I know for a fact that all guys stare at girls their interested in...

Surgery sounds like a weird, almost unfair reason to throw a fit. But if you still love him, would you be able to look past that sort of immaturity in him? Maybe it's not meant to be? But I can't decide if you really love him enough to look past that, it's your decision.
You say you feel empty without him? Well, start doing something about it, you know? You already know that he's PROBABLY interested, so if you don't have his number... get it. Call him up and invite him out to do something. It doesn't have to be anything in particular... to hang out, go out to eat, watch a movie... whatever. Just ask him... hey, you wanna hang out sometime? after you ask him what he's been up to, and have had him on the phone for a bit. couple minutes nothing major.
If he says ';Sure..'; you throw an idea out there. Don't make the mistake of not having an idea of something to do already... make the decision. It takes a hell of a lot of pressure off of him if you DON'T say ';oh, well, I don't know... what do you want to do?';
